Meet The Team
Jim is a life long resident of Bluffton and is married to Pat. Together they raised three daughters, all who are married. After graduating from Bluffton College, Jim served the Lord through the ministry of Bluffton-Pandora Youth for Christ for thirty four years. As an adult, Jim had been actively involved at Ebenezer as a teacher and deacon. Eight years ago Jim responded to the call of ministry to be a co pastor at Ebenezer. On April 1, 2013, Jim became Ebenezer's senior pastor. Jim has a heart for France and has served on at least 15 mission trips to this particular country. He is also an avid reader and Michigan fan, much to the dismay of many Buckeye fans. Jim desires you to know and grow as a disciple of Jesus Christ.
After attending Houghton College, Wheaton Graduate School, and University of Northeastern Illinois, Dale and Ruth Seefeldt worked in India more than thirty years. As missionaries sent out by Ebenezer Mennonite Church, they completed a new translation of the Hindi Bible and helped plant churches with Delhi Bible Fellowship in the capital city of India. They also worked at Woodstock Christian International School in the Himalayan mountains of India, where Dale taught English, Hindi, and Bible, also serving as Head of High School and head of the department of foreign languages, while Ruth served in the school health center. They have four children of their own, two of whom have taken a turn working in India themselves. Over the years Dale and Ruth have worked with children in many settings and enjoy it.
Pastor Dick was a missionary with SEND International for 20 years. He served with his wife and family in the Philippines as a Church Planter and then for his last 8 years as a Marriage and Family Counselor at Faith Academy. Faith Academy is an international school for 500 missionary children which is located just East of Metro-Manila, RP. He returned from the mission Field in June of 2004. He has been on the staff of EMC since August of 2004. Dick and Cheryl have 3 married daughters and 9 grandchildren. He took up SCUBA diving while in the Philippines and loved it. He enjoys reading in the area of Pastoral Counseling and getting time with the family.
Pastor Warren attended Wheaton College and Wheaton College Graduate School achieving a Bachelor of Arts and Master of Arts in Theology. Anita (Steiner) and Charles enjoyed more than fifty-seven years of life and ministry together until God called Anita to her heavenly home. God blessed them with five children who have served in in many locations throughout the world including India, Cambodia, and New Zealand, as well as in America.
Pastor Warren and Anita served with TEAM in India and Tibet-Nepal Border area for more than 38 years in church leadership and development. After serving as interim pastor of Ebenezer Mennonite Church (supporting church) on two furloughs from India and before, Charles was invited to serve as Senior Pastor from May, 1986, until he retired in November, 1991 and was appointed Pastor Emeritus. "My passion and joy is Jesus and Him glorified in His people, His church!"
As a life long resident of Northwest Ohio, David grew up in Arlington and attended Bluffton University. David has spent 14 years in youth ministry. After the last seven years working for Youth for Christ, he felt called back into church ministry. David and his wife Mary, love working with students and always love having them in their home. They also love seeing God work in the students' lives and are extremely humbled to be a part of this wonderful church. David loves Jeremiah 29:11-13 and considers that his life passage. David and Mary have two children, a daughter Haddy and son Judah.
Kathy grew up in the Bluffton area and has been a life-long Ebenezer member. Before being called to church ministry in 1997, she worked at Marathon Oil Company for 21 years. She has been married to her husband Dave for 40 years, and they operate a small beef cattle farm. They have two grown sons. Sam is married to Janet, and they have four children. Mark is married to Rhonda. Kathy has a bachelor of arts degree in business administration from the University of Findlay and has been serving in her present position since 2003.
Deb grew up in the Bluffton area and has been a life-long Ebenezer member. Before being called to church ministry in 2003, she worked at The Bluffton News/Fun for Kidz Magazines for 13 years. She has been married to her husband Mike for 40 years, and they operate a grain farm that has been in Mike's family for five generations. They have three grown children. Kevin is married to Melissa (Epp), and they have one son. Kimberly is married to Jason Fritsch, and they have two sons. Cory is a 5th grade teacher in Olentangy School District. He is engaged to Emily Huxman.
